Built in the late 1960s, our neighborhood surrounds a five-acre lake, with winding water-themed streets such as Blackwater Trail, Light House Point, and Seamarsh Court.

Situated off Riverside Drive and Johnson Ferry Road approximately two miles north of I-285 and three miles east of Georgia 400, our 155-home subdivision provides a small town atmosphere close to a major city. Located in the center of Atlanta’s growth district, North Harbor provides quick access to I-285, I-75 and Georgia 400, making the neighborhood easily accessible to downtown Atlanta, the northern arc and anywhere you want to go.
North Harbor is part of the City of Sandy Springs and lies less than two miles from the city’s hub on Roswell Road. The Roswell Road corridor is the backbone of Sandy Springs, abounding in restaurants, grocery stores, nightlife, shopping and other amenities. Our neighborhood is also located along the Fulton County/Cobb County border, within easy reach of Cobb County amenities. Scenic Columns Drive is within walking distance and the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is two to three minutes away.
Lifestyles
An established neighborhood with a young, vibrant attitude, North Harbor offers a variety of activities. The North Harbor Neighborhood Association governs the subdivision and plans social gatherings throughout the year. Happenings include Spring Egg Hunt, Pool Parties, Fourth of July Parade, and other social events throughout the year. The Clubhouse also plays host to such activities as Girl Scout meetings, Football watch parties, birthday parties, and neighborhood social gatherings. Our neighborhood is home to a wide variety of groups, including: Book Club, Women’s Bunco Group, Women’s Group, and Swim Team (children aged 5 to 18).
Schools
North Harbor is served by the Riverwood Cluster of Fulton County that includes Heards Ferry Elementary School, Ridgeview Charter Middle School and Riverwood International Charter High School. While all these schools are among the state’s best, Riverwood is particularly noteworthy as an International Studies magnet and International Baccalaureate school. Students can receive foreign language instruction in six languages.
Several private schools are nearby, including Holy Innocents, Mount Vernon Presbyterian, Lovett, Westminster, Pace Academy, The Galloway School, The Weber School, The Epstein School and Holy Spirit Preparatory School.
